Rich is an experienced marketing executive who has conceptualized and executed award-winning product launch campaigns. He has a strong background and proven success in brand management, marketing, business development, promotions, and special events.
Prior to Firebrand, Rich shared General Manager duties with Ray Doustdar for L.A.’s newest sports team, the Los Angeles Matadors in the World Series of Boxing. They oversaw sales, marketing, and operations for the Los Angeles team in a 12-team global sports league funded by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
In the television business, Rich and Ray successfully developed, cast, packaged and secured co-production deals for 12 reality TV show projects with major production companies such as Bunim-Murray, Shed Media, Reveille, Picture This Television, Dr. Drew Productions, and High Noon Entertainment. They have executive produced two TV pilots, Bosslady (VH1) and The Incredible Ferrignos (TV Land), and one series, The World Series of Boxing (Fox Sports West).
In 2008, Rich was the Vice President of Marketing at Warner Bros. Television where he oversaw the marketing launch of TMZ on TV, Two and a Half Men and George Lopez. He also worked on marketing campaigns for The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Tyra Banks Show. From 2000-2006, he was the Executive Director of Advertising and Promotion at CBS Paramount Television for the #1 Entertainment News Magazine, Entertainment Tonight, and the most successful syndication launch of 2004, The Insider.
Rich is a two-time recipient of the “Share-The-Vision” award which recognized employees who made a significant and measurable contribution to the CBS Corporation. Early in his career he worked in brand management for Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment on successful franchises such as Star Trek, Mission Impossible, and Nickelodeon’s Rugrats.
Rich received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
Ray Doustdar is a consummate dealmaker, with experience in product licensing, new business development, endorsements, sponsorships, promotional programs, and public relations.
Prior to Firebrand, he worked with Rich Orosco as the General Manager of L.A.’s newest sports team, the Los Angeles Matadors in the World Series of Boxing, and he was also an Executive Producer of the World Series of Boxing TV series on Fox Sports West. Prior to that, he founded and launched online dating website www.TeamDating.com which garnered National media attention from USA Today, NBC’s Today Show, EXTRA!, Investor’s Business Daily, and many other media outlets.
Ray was the President of The Stronghold Group where he spearheaded the company’s efforts in business development for clients such as hip-hop superstar Nelly, The Dave Matthews Band, Sugar Ray, Motown Music Label, Pop Warner Little League, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He also served two years as the Executive Director of Licensing for Universal Studios, where he launched very successful and profitable licensing programs for such feature films as Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Mummy Returns, and Jurassic Park 3, as well as building overall licensing programs for classic character properties like Woody Woodpecker, Curious George, and the Universal Studios Monster Franchise. Prior to Universal Studios, Ray was the Director of Special Markets for BMG Entertainment. At BMG, he created custom music CD compilations for clients such as Starbucks, Pottery Barn, and Ann Taylor. Before his tenure at BMG, Ray spent five years at consumer products giant Procter & Gamble, where he managed the Tide brand and a 24 person sales team in the California Market.
Ray received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Miami University of Ohio.
Jake Alba is a visual artist with over 15 years of creative and production experience. He has directed and produced Television shows, commercials, broadcast events, and documentaries.
In addition to his work with Firebrand, Jake is a producer for Fox Sports West working on special projects for top sports properties such as the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (MLB), Los Angeles Clippers (NBA), and the Los Angeles Kings (NHL). In 2012 he was a video producer for Pepperdine University specializing in marketing, fundraising, admission, and recruitment creative. From 2010-2011 Jake was the Creative Director for the Los Angeles Matadors in the World Series of Boxing where he produced and directed the season marketing launch campaign and sponsor creative. He has served as the Technical Director and 2nd Unit Camera for Alloy TV’s web series “Talent The Casting Call” and the producer and director for a series of faith based broadcast shows for Family Theater Productions. He is also the founder and online video producer of www.CoachingSimplified.com, the first online baseball and softball educational resource for parents and coaches.
Jake received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California.
Marcus Wesson is an award-winning creative director who has created successful integrated advertising campaigns for brand clients such as Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, Carl’s Jr., Wells Fargo and Activision. He has held creative positions at TBWA/Chiat/Day and DDB Worldwide and his work has been honored by the Clios, the One Show, Communication Arts, the Beldings, D&AD, Creativity Magazine, Adweek, Webby’s, American Photo Magazine, Playboy, TBS’ Funniest Commercials, and even mentioned in two major motion pictures.
